Breast Cancer Recovery is pleased to announce our 2024 Ann Haney Award recipient: Keeshia Jones

This award is inspired by our founder, Ann Haney. Nominations told stories of women's breast cancer journey that has been an inspiration to others around her, and whose light has shined brighter. The nomination committee was so inspired by the journey of all our 2024 nominees, and all they do to support women with breast cancer in your community.The award was presented at our Party on the Lanes on Saturday, October 19 at Ten Pin Alley. Keeshia was nominated by Carrie Williams.

Keeshia has always been determined to support those with breast cancer and after being diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer this made her even more determined and dedicated to make a difference to support those affected. Her grace is palpable and her sensitive yet outgoing nature is such a warm light.

Keeshia's contributions to breast cancer support and awareness Keeshia started as a Mentor with ABCD; After Breast Cancer Diagnosis in December 2020 so that she could support and encourage other women going through breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. In February 2023 Keeshia joined the staff taking on the newly created role of Director of Healthcare and Community Partnerships. She continues to build partnerships with healthcare and breast cancer organizations. She also serves as President to the WI chapter of Sister's Network, Inc.

Keeshia's contributions to her community. Keeshia supports and participates in many events locally and nationally to continue to bring awareness and resources to those that need them.

How the Keeshia's supported other women diagnosed with breast cancer. Keeshia is a always available with a kind word and listening ear. She makes sure women feel supported, embrace their journey, gives confidence that inspires, and helps direct them to the best possible forms of support. Her connections are endless and the relationships she builds are priceless.

About Keeshia Keeshia is a dear friend and colleague. I am happy to know her alongside many she has touched. She is forever a hero.
