Sharing the Knowledge with Team Phoenix: Cancer survivor HEAL workshop
Join together with Breast Cancer Recovery, Team Phoenix, Aurora Health Care providers, coaches, and other cancer survivors for an evening of healthy eating, education, fitness and camaraderie! This workshop, aimed at female cancer survivors, combines a walk/run/strength session on the track, followed by a presentation.
6:00 p.m. Walk/run/strength on the track with Coach Kim and other cancer survivors (track entry included in registration fee)
7:00 p.m. Brief presentation about Team Phoenix, Breast Cancer Recovery Group and other Survivorship resources followed by sharing time with other female cancer survivors (lights snacks will be served

Light snacks will be provided during the sharing session, please bring your own water/non-alcoholic beverage.
The Pettit track is within the ice center rink area, so it is about 55 degrees year-round. Please dress in layers and bring layers (gloves/hat/jacket) for the training time. The educational presentation will be upstairs in the conference room.

Team Phoenix empowers women to become proactive in their own health care and survivorship, move beyond the title of cancer survivor, and redefine themselves as athletes through introduction to the joys of exercise and living well.
Team Phoenix is an innovative 14-week fitness and education program in which a leadership team of multidisciplinary clinicians, triathlon coaches and volunteers encourage and assist cancer survivors to regain health and wellness after cancer treatment by training for a sprint-distance triathlon. Joining our Team Phoenix group is the silver lining to a cancer diagnosis. We support you in building lifelong habits of fitness, healthy living, ongoing connections with health providers and camaraderie with other cancer survivors.
