Tifani Jones, Corporate Director of Sales for Kalahari Resorts & Conventions
2nd year on Board
How I became Involved with BCR:
I was introduced to BCR by Megan Purtell. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in August of 2016. Between my surgery and the start of radiation, Megan and I attended the WI Society of Association Executives Annual Summit. We were randomly paired up for an exercise and Megan shared information with me regarding BCR. The timing was perfect. I joined the board the following January.
Current Position:
My professional career in hospitality sales has been a great fit to assist with the BCR annual party fundraiser. Currently I am the Corporate Director of Sales for Kalahari Resorts & Conventions.
Interests, Hobbies, Activities:
I love basset hounds. I currently have two elderly basset rescues that I adore. I enjoy volunteering in my community and professionally. I love coffee that doesn’t taste much like coffee – white mochas are my favorite.
Random Thoughts on BCR:
The unique mission of providing women the right environment to aide in emotional healing speaks to me personally as a survivor of a rare form of breast cancer. I love that the network of retreatants stays strong long after the retreat is over.
