1:00 pm Policy: Breast Density for the New Legislative Session with Dawn Anderson The Wisconsin Breast Cancer Coalition will once again be supporting the passage of state legislation that will mandate cost-free supplemental screenings and diagnostic tests needed by women with dense breasts or who otherwise have been deemed high risk for developing breast cancer. Over 20 other states have already passed similar legislation. Patient advocates will be the key to success. Despite very good bipartisan support in both the State Senate and Assembly, we haven’t made it across the finish line – yet. We need to share more stories about what this bill means for about 40% of Wisconsin women. Dawn will discuss how you can help and get involved to help WBCC pass this important legislation.
