The Unexpected Joy of Cancer: A one-woman production of stories from survivors, family members, caregivers, hospice personnel, and others that have found joy in the shadow of cancer. Presented first person, this poignant and healing program depict moments when cancer did not have the last laugh.

Speaker: Kay Elmsley Weeden

Kay Elmsley Weeden is a professional spoken word artist and storyteller. She has delighted audiences around the world for more than 25 years with wit and wisdom, in English and in Spanish, in ways that connect us, entertain, nurture and heal. Her dedication as a cancer story researcher and storyteller culminates in a moving and astonishing production with a much welcomed twist.
