Breast Cancer Recovery Announces 2018 Infinite Boundaries® Retreat For Young Survivors
Tuesday, January 23, 2018
Madison, WI, January 23, 2018 - Breast Cancer Recovery (BCR) is pleased to announce an Infinite Boundaries Retreat designed exclusively for young survivors of breast cancer who have been diagnosed at or below 40 years of age. This exclusive retreat for young survivors dates are Friday, March 16 through Sunday, March 18 at the Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake, WI.
Some of the questions young breast cancer survivors may have to ask themselves are:
How do I tell a new partner that I have/had breast cancer?
Will breast cancer treatments affect my fertility?
How do I tell my children about my cancer?
Klara Hartfiel, R.N., Program Director of Breast Cancer Recovery said “Young breast cancer survivors have unique issues around their diagnosis, treatment and survival. Our retreat addresses these needs, and starts the emotional healing facilitated by fellow young breast cancer survivors.”
Infinite Boundaries Retreats are based on the belief that the journey to recovery and healing involves the whole women, mind and body. The retreats are designed by breast cancer survivors, and conducted by survivors in beautiful, serene settings in Wisconsin.
The weekend retreat includes private accommodations, daily activities, group discussions and nutritious meals with special dietary options honored. The cost to attend the retreat is a $400 registration fee with the remaining overall cost paid by scholarship funds from BCR.
“We offer financial assistance for the registration fee. Women living with breast cancer often face considerable medical expenses. Breast Cancer Recovery places a strong emphasis on ensuring that all women - regardless of financial standing - can experience an Infinite Boundaries Retreat. We have never turned anyone away who wants to attend a retreat,” said Hartfiel.
