About the Program

Breast cancer is the most diagnosed cancer for women in Wisconsin, and the second highest cancer killer. We introduce the concept of "Windows of Susceptibility," periods of vulnerability to environmental factors that may affect breast cancer risk later in life. Drawing from the Breast Cancer and the Environment Research Program, we provide resources and recommendations that the audience can take home and put into practice to help reduce their risk. We take the science and translate it into practical actions and tips that focus on diet/nutrition, exercise, weight, and chemical avoidance.
