Breast Cancer Recovery

The mission of Breast Cancer Recovery is to help breast cancer survivors heal mind, body and spirit.

Breast Cancer Recovery’s flagship program, Infinite Boundaries, is a four-day wellness retreat for women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Designed by breast cancer survivors for breast cancer survivors, each retreat features a unique mixture of healing approaches: discussions on sensitive topics, creative arts and outdoor recreation. There is healing in nature and retreats are held in beautiful locales. Many Infinite Boundaries retreats take place on Madeline Island and in Door County, Wisconsin.

Women who attend Infinite Boundaries retreats are in all stages of breast cancer. Some are newly diagnosed while others may have been treated for breast cancer years ago. Women ranging in age from 24 – 77 and from more than 26 states have attended. We offer ten retreats a year, including specialty retreats for young women, women with metastatic breast cancer and “solo” women navigating cancer without the support of a spouse or partner.

Because women living with breast cancer often face considerable medical expense during and after diagnosis, Breast Cancer Recovery places a strong emphasis on ensuring that all women – regardless of financial standing – can experience an Infinite Boundaries retreat. We charge a reduced fee, offer full and partial scholarships and have never turned away anyone who wished to attend an Infinite Boundaries retreat.

Breast Cancer Recovery also sponsors awareness and educational programs including the annual Sharing the Knowledge: Resources for Recovery conference for survivors, their family members and healthcare professionals. The conference is held each November in Madison, WI.
